Jim E. Hamilton Correctional Center

Jim E. Hamilton Correctional Center is located in Hodgen Oklahoma.  It is a minimum security institution that houses about 710 male inmates and is also responsible for providing 32 beds for LeFlore County Jail inmates.  The majority of inmates at this prison are incarcerated for drug related crimes.  Jim E. Hamilton Correctional Center prides itself on having the largest vocational training program and offers instruction in industrial electricity, welding, engine and automotive repair, air conditioning and refrigeration, various construction trades, and masonry.  Offenders can also take education courses to learn to read, obtain a GED and adult basic education, and even take college courses.

Jim E. Hamilton Correctional Center allows inmates to participate in substance abuse treatment services like Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous, and in various religious worship services.  Inmates are provided necessary medical and dental treatment as well as mental health care.  Offenders are responsible for farming approximately five and half acres of land that provides fresh vegetables to inmates at the facility.

Visiting Hours at Jim E. Hamilton Correctional Center:

Jim E. Hamilton Correctional Center utilizes an odd/even visiting schedule based on the last digit of the inmate's identification number.  Visits occur on Saturdays from 9am-3pm for inmates with an even number and on Sundays from 9am-3pm for inmates with an odd identification number.

• Level 1 inmates are allowed a one hour non-contact visit from 11am-3pm
• ​Level II inmates are allowed visits 11am-3pm
• Level III and IV inmates are allowed visits from 9am-3pm
• If a state holiday falls on a weekday all offenders will have visitation.
