SCI Rockview

Rockview State Correctional Institution is located in Bellefonte Pennsylvania.  It is a medium security prison that houses approximately 2,406 adult male offenders.  The prison is comprised of 103 structures, fourteen of which are housing units.  Housing units at SCI Rockview are multi-occupancy cells, and dormitory style.  This facility is also responsible for administering capital punishment to all male offenders who have been given the Death Penalty.  SCI Rockview participates in the Correctional Industries program employing inmates in a wood furniture factory.

Rockview State Correctional Facility participates in the Community Work Program where inmates volunteer their labor to help maintain state parts, assist in landscaping parks, non-profits, government buildings and cemeteries, and provide road cleanup crews for area highways.  Inmates are encouraged  to participate in the vocational classes offered, which include electrical wiring, HVAC, barbering, masonry, and certification in welding.

Visiting Hours at Rockview State Correctional Institution:

Visits at SCI Rockview are conducted on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30am-3:30pm.  Visitation is closed on the first Monday of each month unless a holiday falls on the first Monday.
