Old Colony Correctional Center is part of the Bridgewater Correctional Complex located in Bridgewater Massachusetts.  All the inmates located at this facility have been transferred from other prisons within the Massachusetts Department of Corrections.  The prison is surrounded by two 14 foot razor wire fences with motion detector microwave system in between which alerts the tower/control room to the presence of anything between the fences.

The Old Colony Correctional Center is comprised of over ten cell blocks for general population inmates, a special housing unit, a segregation unit, and the Old Colony Correctional Center Minimum Unit.  Offenders have access to a variety of educational and vocational programs they can participate in to learn useful skills that can help them obtain a job once they are released.

Visiting Hours at Old Colony Correctional Center:

Offenders may have up to five visits in a week  The days and times the inmate is allowed visitors will depend on their housing unit.

  • General Population inmates have visitation on Sundays, Mondays, and Fridays from 1pm-4:30pm, and 5:30pm-8:45pm, and on Saturdays from 1pm-4:30pm.
  • Special Housing Unit or SHU has visitation on Sundays from 9am-12pm, Wednesdays from 1pm-4:30pm, 5:30pm-8:45pm and Saturdays from 5:30pm-8:45pm.
  • Segregation SMU has non contact visits in three periods.  On Sundays from 1:15pm-2:15pm, 2:30pm-3:30pm, 3:45pm-4:45pm, Mondays from 5:15pm-6:15pm, 6:30pm-7:30pm, and 7:45pm-8:45pm, and on Fridays from 1:15pm-2:15pm, 2:30pm-3:30pm, and 3:45pm-4:45pm.
  • Minimum Unit has visiting on Sundays 1pm-9pm, Mondays 3:30pm-9pm, Saturdays 1pm-9pm
