Northern Correctional Institution

Northern Correctional Institution is located in Somers Connecticut.  It is a level 5 maximum security facility, and houses mostly pre-trial inmates.  This facility also houses death row inmates.

Offenders housed at this facility are considered high risk and difficult to manage and must display positive behavior and participate in various programs to earn their way back to a less restrictive facility.

Visiting Hours at Northern Correctional Institution:

Inmates at this institution have visiting hours everyday starting at 8am, 9am, 1pm, 6pm, 7pm, and 8pm.  The number of visits per week and length of visit will depend on the inmates classification.  Inmates in A/S phase 1 may have a single 30 minute visit per week.  Special needs may have 3 one hour visits per week.  Death row inmates can have 3 one hour visits per week.
