North Branch Correctional Institution

North Branch Correctional Institution is located in Cumberland Maryland.  It is a maximum security prison that has been renowned as the "world's most technologically advanced correctional center".  North Branch Correctional Institution can house approximately 1,460 adult males, who have an average sentence of 10.5 years.

Inmates can take adult basic education classes and earn a GED while incarcerated.  This facility also houses all of the death row inmates in the state.

Visiting Hours at North Branch Correctional Institution:

All visitors must arrive by 12:30pm.  Inmates can have a maximum of four visitors two of which can be children.
General population inmates can have two visits a week on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 8:30am-1:30pm.
Administrative Segregation inmates can have visits twice a week on Fridays from 8:30am-1:30pm.
Disciplinary Segregation inmates can have a single visit each week that occurs on Fridays from 8:30am-1:30pm.
