Eastern Correctional Institution

Eastern Correctional Institution is located in Maury North Carolina.  It is a medium security prison that houses female offenders.  The current capacity of Eastern Correctional Institution is 429 inmates.  Although the facility is over 30 years old, it wasn't until 2014 that it started to house female offenders.  Inmates are held in five housing units comprised of three wings.  Each wing has 24 single cells in it.  The facility is secured by two razor wire fences.

Offenders at Eastern Correctional Institution can earn a GED while incarcerated and take vocational training to learn a new skill.  Additionally, inmates have access to treatment programs, and medical/dental services.
