Rufus H. Duncan Geriatric Facility

Duncan Unit is a minimum security prison that specializes in housing geriatric or elderly offenders.  Duncan Unit has a maximum capacity of 606 male inmates who are designated as G1, G2 or transient custody levels.  Programs at this facility are limited, but it does offer a unit garden where offenders can work with plants.  Duncan has a strong focus on medical, dental and ambulatory services and provides 40 wheelchair accessible beds to offenders.  Inmates can receive substance abuse treatment, participate in support groups and life skills courses as well as various religious and faith based activities such as worship services.

Visiting Hours at Duncan Unit:

If you are on the inmate's approved visitors list you can visit them at the Duncan Unit on Saturdays and Sundays from 8am-5pm.  Visits are up to two hours in duration.  Visitor are allowed to bring up to $20 in quarters in a clear Ziploc bag for use in the visiting room vending machines.
