Caldwell Correctional Center

Caldwell Correctional Center is located in Lenoir North Carolina, part of Caldwell County.  It is a minimum security prison that houses 284 adult males.  Offenders are housed in one of three dormitories.  Inmates at Caldwell Correctional Center can take educational classes to obtain a GED and adult basic education.  Additionally, inmates can receive vocational training and receive substance abuse treatment while they serve their sentence.  Fatherhood and parenting programs are also available.

Offenders at Caldwell Correctional Center may participate in a variety of work assignments including working on road crews, in facility maintenance, custodial work, landscaping and within the prisons kitchen.  Counseling and bible studies are made available through the Chaplains office.

 

Visiting Hours at Caldwell Correctional Center:

Visiting is on a rotating schedule according to the first letter of the inmates last name.  This schedule rotates monthly.  Visits occur on Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm-3pm and from 3:30pm-5:30pm using the following schedule:

  • January, February
    • Inmates A-D have visits on Saturdays from 1pm-3pm
    • Inmates E-L have visits on Saturdays from 3:30pm-5:30pm
    • Inmates M-R have visits on Sundays from 1pm-3pm
    • Inmates S-Z have visits on Sundays from 3:30pm-5:30pm​
  • March, April, May
    • Inmates A-D have visits on Saturdays from 3:30pm-5:30pm
    • Inmates E-L have visits on Sundays 1pm-3pm
    • Inmates M-R have visits on Sundays from 3:30pm-5:30pm
    • Inmates S-Z have visits on Saturdays from 1pm-3pm​
  • June, July, August
    • Inmates A-D have visits on Sundays from 1pm-3pm
    • Inmates E-L have visits on Sundays from 3:30pm-5:30pm
    • Inmates M-R have visits on Saturdays from 1pm-3pm
    • Inmates S-Z have visits on Saturdays from 3:30pm-5:30pm
  • September, October, November
    • Inmates A-D have visits on Sundays from 3:30pm-5:30pm
    • Inmates E-L have visits on Saturdays from 1pm-3pm
    • Inmates M-R have visits on Saturdays from 3:30pm-5:30pm
    • Inmates S-Z have visits on Sundays from 1pm-3pm
  • December
    • Inmates A-D have visits on Saturdays from 1pm-3pm
