Florida State Prison is located in Raiford Florida, part of Bradford county.  The facility houses over 1,460 adult male inmates from minimum to maximum custody.  It is a level VII facility made up of 15 different internal units, some open bay, but mostly cell houses.

Educational opportunities at this facility include adult basic education and GED courses, special education, and an inmate teaching assistant program where inmates can help assist in teaching other inmates.  No vocational programs exist at this facility, and it currently does not participate in the PRIDE program.  Inmates can take anger and stress management courses, and participate in alcoholics and narcotics anonymous meetings.

Visiting Hours at Florida State Prison:

Prior to visiting your inmate, you need to fill out a visiting application and have it approved.  Once approved you can visit on any Saturday or Sunday from 9am-3pm.  You can arrive at the facilities parking lot no earlier than 7:30am.  Registration for visiting starts at 8:15am and ends at 2pm.  If you arrive after 2pm you will not be allowed to enter into visitation.
