Troup County Correctional Institution

Troup County Correctional Institution is located in Lagrange Georgia.  It is a medium security institution that incarcerates 372 adult males.  Inmates in the general population are housed in open dormitories, inmates who have behavioral or safety concerns are housed in segregation cells separate from the general population.  Inmates can participate in work crews that provide a labor force for local county agencies.  They provide services like cutting grass, roadwork, and fulfilling maintenance and custodial duties.

Offenders can take courses to earn their GED or get an adult basic education.  Pre-release counseling is offered to help inmates prepare for their eventual release.  The Chaplains office offers inmates worship and prayer services, biblical studies, and an inmate choir.
