Sullivan Correctional Facility

Sullivan Correctional Facility is located in Fallsburg New York, part of Sullivan County.  It is a maximum security prison that houses approximately 580 adult males.  Over 80% of the inmates housed at Sullivan committed violent crimes and over half of the inmates are serving life sentences.  This facility has it's own behavioral health unit and special needs unit.  

Sullivan Correctional Facility has academic courses that allow an inmate to earn a GED and even participate in an Associate degree program offered by the local Sullivan Community College.  Vocational training in computers, custodial maintenance and welding are also provided to offenders.  Offenders who committed a sex crime will be required to participate in a sex offender treatment program and counseling.  Additional treatment is available to inmates for alcohol and substance abuse.

One of the infamous inmates housed at Sullivan Correctional Facility is David Berkowitz.  He is incarcerated for the "Son of Sam" serial killings he committed in 1977.

Visiting Hours at Sullivan Correctional Facility:

Sullivan Correctional Facility has visitation everyday from 9am-3pm.  You must arrive prior to 2pm when visitor processing ends, or you will not be allowed to visit.
