Pruntytown Correctional Center is a mixed custody facility that houses a maximum of 369 male inmates of minimum and medium custody levels.  Offenders at Pruntytown Correctional Center are within 36 months of their discharge or parole date.  Inmates are housed in five units.  The residential substance abuse treatment unit houses inmates in multiple occupancy rooms, the four remaining units house inmates in open dormitories.  Each unit functions with it's own common area, kitchenette, and outdoor recreation yard.

Pruntytown Correctional Center participates in the Paws 4 Prison program which allows offenders to work with dogs, training them as service animals.  Job opportunities for inmates at this prison include supportive institution roles, providing services in laundry, and custodial maintenance.

Visiting Hours at Pruntytown Correctional Center:

All visitors must be on the inmate's approved visitors list before they can attend a visiting session.  Visits at Pruntytown Correctional Center are held on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am-3:30pm.  Visitor registration ends at 2:30pm, if you arrive after this time you will not be admitted into visitation.  Visits are up to three hours in duration unless the visiting room becomes over crowded.  You can bring up to $10 in coin to use in the vending machines (paper currency is prohibited).  Inmates who are undergoing intake will have to wait 30 days from the date they arrived at the facility.
