North Dakota Youth Correctional Center

North Dakota Youth Correctional Center is located in Mandan North Dakota.  It is a juvenile corrections center for males and females and is comprised of four cottages.  Brown Cottage houses 22 male juveniles in treatment status.  Hickory Cottage houses 35 male juveniles in treatment status and is also where the substance abuse treatment center, mental health, and medical facilities are located.  Maple Cottage houses 25 female juveniles and has it's own treatment center within it.  Pine Cottage can house up to 25 high risk male juveniles, it also has gang intervention and sex offender treatment program in it.

All juvenile are assessed for a period of 2-3 weeks when they first enter into the facility.  The assessment will determine which programs and treatments will be most beneficial to the juvenile.  All offenders at North Dakota Youth Correctional Center are required to attend academic and vocational classes with a goal of keeping the juveniles education on track.

Visiting Hours at North Dakota Youth Correctional Center:

Inmates must reach entry level status before they are allowed visits.  Visiting occurs on Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm-4pm.  All visitors should contact the facility three days in advance to let them know they are planning a visit.
