Madison Correctional Institution

Madison Correctional Institution is located in London Ohio.  It is a medium security prison that also houses minimum custody inmates.  The current inmate population at this facility is approximately 2,570 offenders.  Madison Correctional Institution operates a faith based dorm which offers group and one on one counseling.  Additionally the faith based dorm offers faith based housing for released inmates.  Madison Correctional Institution participates in the prison industries program and allows inmates to work in a furniture assembly shop.

Madison Correctional Institution offers adult basic education courses, and gives inmates the opportunity to earn a GED.  Vocational studies offered at this prison include drafting, horticulture, HVAC, painting, plumbing, cooking, carpentry, animal training, electrical wiring, quality control inspector/technician and welding.  Additionally this facility participates in the fresh start canine and feline program that fosters abandoned animals for adoption.

Visiting Hours at Madison Correctional Institution:

Visits at Madison Correctional Institution are by appointment only.  You must call (740)-852-1411 on Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8am-1pm to schedule a visiting appointment.  Inmates are limited to four visitors per session.  Visiting days are determined by the inmate's identification number.  Inmates with odd numbers have visits on odd dates, while inmates with even identification numbers have visits on even dates.  Visits occur from 8am-11:15am for the morning visit and from 11:45am-3pm for the afternoon session.
