Jacksonville Correctional Center

Jacksonville Correctional Center is located in Morgan County Illinois.  It is a minimum security facility that can house 1,617 adult males.  The prison is comprised of five housing units, a segregation unit, and a health care unit.  Pittsfield work camp and Greene County incarceration program are managed by the Jacksonville Correctional Center.  This prison participates in correctional industries offering inmates work in telemarketing.

Offenders can take educational and vocational courses to learn skills they can later use to have a great chance at a successful rehabilitation and reintegration.  Academic courses include pre-GED and adult basic education as well as the ability for inmates to earn a GED.  Offenders can also take vocational courses in various construction trades, horticulture, and custodial maintenance.

Visiting Hours at Jacksonville Correctional Center:

Inmates are allowed seven visits each month, only three of the visits can be on weekends or holidays.  The visiting hours for Jacksonville Correctional Center are everyday from 8:30am-7pm.  Visitors will not be allowed to enter between 2:30pm-3pm.  Visitors must arrive prior to 6pm or they will not be admitted into visitation.
