Hartford Correctional Center

Hartford Correctional Center is located in Hartford Connecticut.  It houses over 1,000 inmates, the vast majority of which are pre-trial detainees.  This facility is considered a level 4 high security institution, mainly because of the high number of unclassified/pre-trial detainees.

Hartford Correctional Center acts as a medical and surgical ward to the department of correction.  The medical portion of the correctional center serves over 2,500 patients a year, both in and out-patients.
