You can send a letter through the mail to your inmate using traditional postage, or for a fee you can utilize e-messaging through Securus Technologies. This allows you to send a message to an inmate that will be printed and delivered or available to view through a kiosk/portal provided to the inmate.
Inmates are allowed to receive a holiday incentive package, three seasonal incentive packages, and approved footwear packages.
Holiday packages consist of food and snack items that have been pre-approved by the Alabama Department of Corrections. Seasonal Incentive packages may contain clothing, hygiene and electronic products.
In order to receive incentive packages inmates must have six months of a clear record with no disciplinary or behavior citations. Inmates in segregation are not eligible to receive incentive packages.
Inmates can order these packages directly themselves or have a friend or family member order the package for them through the Alabama Access Securepak website, an Alabama DOC approved vendor.
Inmates may also receive items through the Inmate Footwear Program. Utilizing this program inmates can have up to three pairs of shoes at once (a pair of brogans/workboots with a pair of tennis shoes and a pair of slides, OR two pairs of tennis shoes and a pair of slides). You can access the footwear package program through Union Supply Direct Alabama here.
Inmates have access to phones everyday from 8am-10:30pm with the exception of lockdowns and segregation. Securus Technologies is the phone service provider for Easterling Correctional Facility. You can setup a pre-paid telephone account to receive calls from your inmate for a fee through their website here.

Inmates are allowed two visits per month (one Saturday visit and one Sunday visit). Visiting schedules are done on a rotating basis by the inmates last name. Because of this you will need to contact the institution for the current scheduled rotation. All visitors must be approved and on the inmates visitation list prior to attending a visitation session.
Offenders can have up to 8 adults and 8 minors on their visitation list, however if a minor is attending a visitation session, you must complete a request for minor children to visit form. Only 4 adult visitors and 4 minor visitors may visit at any single given time. Children/minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times who is also on the inmate's approved visitation list. Visitor lists can be changed once every 6 months by the inmate.
