Dominguez State Jail

Dominguez State Jail is a mixed custody facility located in San Antonio Texas.  This correctional institution houses levels J1-J5 offenders, in addition it houses G2 and transient inmates.  The current capacity of Dominguez State Jail is 2,276 male inmates.  Inmates at this facility can be housed in a faith based dormitory and have access to on site medical, dental and mental health services.  A substance abuse treatment program is available to all inmates who suffer from drug dependency or alcoholism.

Dominguez State Jail participates in the Pawsitive Approach Assistance Dog Program which allows offenders to work with canines.  Religious worship services and support groups such as Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous are provided at this facility.  Inmates are encouraged to take literacy, adult basic education and GED classes if they can benefit from them.  Additional vocational programs are provided which teach offenders computer aided drafting, and computer maintenance technician.

Visiting Hours at Dominguez State Jail:

Visitation at Dominguez State Jail occurs on Saturdays and Sundays from 7am-5pm.  This facility has both contact and non-contact visitation.  Offenders are allowed one visit per weekend.  Visits can be up to two hours in duration.  If you are traveling over 300 miles to visit you can contact the facility and request to arrange a special visit which can be up to four hours long.
