Beaumont Low Federal Correctional Institution

Beaumont Low Federal Correctional Institution, sometimes referred to as FCI Beaumont Low, is a low security prison located in Beaumont Texas, part of Jefferson county.  Beaumont Low was originally designed to house a maximum of 1,512 inmates, today it houses approximately 1,871 male offenders.  The facility is comprised of six general population housing units contained in three two story buildings, each with two units.  Each of these six units is further divided into two wings.

One of the housing units at Beaumont Low has been designated as a Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP for short).  The Residential Drug Abuse Program is a 500 hour program available to inmates who suffer from drug and alcohol addiction.

The average term inmates are serving at FCI Beaumont Low is 5 years, and offenders range in age from 18 to 81 years old.  Educational courses provided at Beaumont Low include Adult Continuing Education (ACE) and the ability for an offender to earn a GED.  Additionally, inmates who possess a high school diploma or GED can enroll in vocational training and learn new skills in major appliance repair, building trades, welding, business education, culinary arts, micro-computer applications, and more.

Visiting Hours at FCI Beaumont Low:

FCI Beaumont Low allows inmates to have visitors on Fridays from 5pm go 8pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30am to 3pm.  Additionally, Beaumont Low conducts visitation on Federal holidays from 8:30am to 3pm.  On weekends no visitors are processed between 9:30am and 10am (due to the inmate count) and visitors will not be processed after 2pm.  Weekend visitation is conducted on an odd/even schedule based on the fifth digit of the offenders register number, because of this you must contact the facility for the current rotation.  Inmates are limited to five visitors per visit (including children, and excluding infants who are carried by an adult the entire visit).  You must be on the inmate's approved visitation list in order to attend a visiting session.  Inmates are allotted 15 visiting points on the first of each month.  Offenders are charged one point for each weekday visit, and two for each weekend or holiday visit.
